How To Conceal Dark Circles With Light Coverage
guys uh wanted to show you basically how to conceal dark circles using light coverage uh i have so much content on this channel about like full coverage and like personally my preferences have changed and i've been prefer and also i'm getting older and i just have like more fine lines underneath my eyes and full coverage is just like not it's not realistic anymore for me and i'm just like not that into it anymore so to start off uh you may have noticed that i have the majority of my face makeup on it looks very natural because i'm using just like a skin tint but i have done my contour my bronzer also my i used a skin tint one thing that i would say is if you were trying to transition to light coverage doing those things first kind of helps prevent you from like going in with way too much coverage under your eyes before you go with all your other products if that makes sense sometimes when i do my concealer like right after my foundation or my skin tint or whatever i end up going in with so much coverage and then it kind of makes me feel like i need to apply a lot of contour a lot of bronzer you know just to kind of like balance out the coverage so doing this first kind of allows me to create like okay this is the like natural look that i want for my skin minus the nose contour it's like crazy but we're pretending it's not this allows me to kind of like assess all right this is how i want the finish of my skin to be so i can adjust the coverage for my under eyes accordingly number one i have recently realized that powder underneath my eyes has just like not really been it for me it just hasn't uh pretty much no matter what i do whether i set a little bit after whether i set immediately whether i use like a bunch of different kinds of powders pressed hyaluronic acid powders uh loose powders whatever it is brightening powders tpretty much always end up creating a little too much coverage like too much product underneath the eye and then i get creasing so a new product that i have recently started using is the milk makeup hydro grip eye primer this is um for your under eyes and you can also use it on your eyelids for an eyeshadow base uh this is a very interesting product if you have incredibly dry skin then you might not like it you might need to go in with like a lot of an eye cream or super hydrating like eye cream if you have very very oily under eyes i think you would like this especially if you're trying to avoid powder or if your concealer tends to just kind of like slide around because it can be a little bit drying slightly uh essentially what it does is create like a base for your concealer so that you don't have to set it with powder because it can be a little bit drying i'm first gonna go this is not sponsored by the way i'm gonna go in with the milk makeup hydro grip primer i got the little mini guy oh my god it matches my earrings it's so cute look at how much so aesthetic um anyway i'm gonna show you um on this side so that you can compare so i'm going to take the tiniest little you see that tiniest little bit of hydra grip i did my normal skin care routine i used my event moisturizer my uh i may have spoken to you guys about this my dermatology oh my god the cap just came flying off um sunscreen that does not close very well so i'm going to hydrate my under eyes now with this to begin with now hydro grip is supposed to it's like one of the most pop apparently it's one of the most popular products at sephora now i'm gonna go in with the um hydra oh you're making a lot of really gross noises so now i'm gonna go in with uh this guy which does have like a little whatever applicator if you hear any gross noises it's the cat just underneath and i'm just going to pat that pretty much everywhere underneath my eye um all right so that's gonna look a little bit dewy but it starts to set down a little bit um so once i'm gonna give that just like a couple minutes so next up basically all i'm doing is minimizing my the amount of product that i'm using but i want to maximize the effect of it so i have kind of fallen in love with like serum concealers um and just more hydrating products for the under eyes in general so typically if you are using something that's gonna be like say you're using a moisturizer or primer that like maybe it you know holds your product really well but it dries your skin out a little bit a little bit something you want to do is use a slightly more hydrating foundation or concealer so this is something that i've touched on a lot in my a lot of my makeup videos but it's all about balance whether you're talking about color or finish so i am going to use the becca smashbox smashbox um under eye corrector i'm using the shade medium because light is just too pink for me i like something with a little bit more warmth in it because it flatters my skin tone a little bit more i find the light one to be just like a little too cool toned but if you happen to be very fair and you have like cooler undertones that would probably work for you i also prefer using brushes because now prefer using brushes because it allows me to have a little bit more precision over my placement i used to use my i mean i still do but like my lc cosmetics velvet sponge the top of it because it has that nice point but um it's still just like you know it's kind of large so i'm going to be using the um sigma e25 max brush so i'm going to pick up a little bit of the color corrector so if you don't know color correctors are really about warming up whatever the dark area of your under eye is so that when you go in with a slightly lighter concealer it doesn't create that gray cast so i'm using the tiniest amount and i'm really just going to focus this right in the hollow and then right here where i have the most darkness so super gently padding and i'm trying to avoid a lot of people ask me like why don't you take your concealer all the way up it's because i have so many you see these creases underneath my eyes like no matter what i do product is going to get stuck in that and it's going to crease throughout the day so i'm trying to avoid that area and just focus on this hollow right here so we've done like a little you can see there's like a teeny bit of coverage it's sort of like blending into the warmth of my skin um and we're just focusing on this hollow right here obviously already looks like a lot brighter than this side i like to keep a paper towel and just kind of like wipe that product off now for my concealer i have fallen in love i just love this product so much wait is this the right color yeah so i have um the bright future gel serum concealer from sephora is one of my favorites it's very lightweight super hydrating it's really nice it's very creamy it's such a lovely formula i just love the way that it feels on my skin i have two shades this is fon fondant fondant and a bavarian cream which i like to use to like highlight but uh this one's a little bit clos
