Makeup Mistakes Holiday Makeup Don’ts Edition

so the holidays right around the corner I thought that I would share with you some holiday makeup don'ts I've got a lot of makeup do videos coming up so I thought thought of chairs and makeup don'ts so the very first one is to moisturize moisturizer is key you don't always need a primer we do always need to apply a moisturizer this will have your makeup go I'm better last longer for you just the same way as primer does but primer does a little bit of a better job but just don't skip moisturizer super important when choosing a foundation we all know that it has to match your neck but if you're gonna use fake tan this time of year make sure that it matches perfectly don't feel like you need to go darker which is a very easy mistake to make if your face is darker than your neck and chest it actually makes your face look larger fuller and kind of bloated so go a little bit lighter if you have to and don't apply too much use concealer for any areas you need extra coverage a thick layer of foundation will not last as long as a thin layer plus concealer when it comes to your brows your typical everyday all year round routine should work unless you're going for a very dramatic look but you don't usually fill in your brows because neglecting your brows can actually throw off the balance of your eye makeup look just the same ways overdoing your brows can ruin a makeup look the typical brow routine that you do all year should work so just stick to that one holiday eye makeup needs to start off with a primer particularly using glitters or pigments because you need to protect your eyelid so apply a base first of all and then I like to set everything in place to set all of my liquids that I've already applied so a fly powder across the lid across the face and then apply a heavier layer underneath my eyes this will catch any fallout for when I do my eye makeup but if you're gonna go for a very dramatic look or lots of glitter do your eyes first holiday eyes usually mean something maybe a little bit more dramatic for some people but even if it's super dramatic you have to make sure it's also very blended you have to have a transition shade between your crease and your brows because otherwise it just throws off the balance of the entire eye look and look I've made this mistake in the past as well I see makeup artists still making this mistake but you just have to make sure you have a transition shade to make it a lot easier for you glitter and pigments are always really popular this time of year but it has to be the last thing you do once you've done your shading and Shea especially if you're using a mixing medium you want to apply a smooth thin layer of your pigment if you're gonna apply dried shadows and pigments over the top of this it could end up breaking and cracking it'll be very uncomfortable and your eyelid particularly if you've got sensitive eyelets like me lashes make the biggest difference when it comes to your eye makeup just saying where's your brows kind of frame your eyes your lashes frame your eye makeup look as well if you're gonna skip false eyelashes you need to go a little bit less dramatic on the eyes otherwise it won't balance it off so if you're going for a dramatic look try out some false eyelashes another way to add some drama is to apply a black or a dark or smoky look underneath your eyes now this can work but for some people that can actually drag your eyes downward sometimes a clean lower lash line can be just as beautiful as a really heavily filled in one I love highlighter just as much as the next girl but we need to make sure we're choosing the right type of highlighter for a skin tone otherwise it just doesn't work at all the same goes for your blush and your contour don't feel like just because it's the holidays you have to go overboard and over apply it you can add a little bit more if you want to but just don't feel like you have to because it's the holidays and a red lip is super popular on the holiday season but it has to match with the rest of your look this is more of like an orangey D red and this doesn't match with the purpley Pink's on my cheeks and eyes so it's gonna throw off the balance altogether and there you go there's just a couple of my makeup domes if you want to see some of my makeup do's then definitely subscribe to my channel and check out the videos on the screen now I have new videos coming off all this month so definitely check back for then Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays and I'll see you then bye guys
