Yikes! The Most Boring $68 Foundation Ever??

I mean to be honest for $68 I expect my foundation to like have built-in Wi-Fi and to tell me what the weather forecast is for today guys it's me Nikki hi before I do anything I just want to show you my shirt wait hold on alrighty guy is the so in today's video I want to try a foundation that literally everyone has been talking about today I want to focus on the brand new Pat McGrath skin fetish sublime perfections Alling foundation this foundation retails for $68 claims to have buildable perfecting coverage it has a weightless texture a sublime satin finish it is runway tested and mother-approved now if you know me the tiniest but you know that I love mother Pat McGrath she truly is the mother of the makeup industry because she said all the trends she came up with it all like she is one of the the last remaining legends and icons of her industry and I will always have the utmost respect for her I've even had the honour of modeling slash working for Pat for one of her launches and just I have so much love for Pat like you don't even want to know am finally sitting down and trying the brand new Pat McGrath foundation I don't know why IVA IVA we're feeling about this one so let's see if I'm right Oh rocky alrighty guys so let's dive into this you know pricey luxury so Pat McGrath Labs came out with a primer a foundation a setting powder and two brushes and I'm gonna be trying it all out today in this video first let's take a look at the primer alright so when I look at the primer the first thing I'm noticing is the the major difference in packaging compared to the foundation the foundation is luxury its hefty like it has a lot of weight to it it has the gold it has a beautiful lid no way you look at the primer it is very light is very plasticy the labels kind of sloppily just kind of like stickered on this feels cheap I'm just gonna say it when you compare this packaging to the foundation you feel like this was an afterthought and you feel like this like all money went to packaging in the foundation and tdidn't have any money left for the primers the primer is $60 makeup meets skincare in the ultimate smoothing skin refining primer the first step know what that smells like but it smells really good I'm just gonna start buffing this in oh my god this smells as if you're walking into Saks Fifth Avenue it's so good okay it's definitely not mega sticky but I definitely feel like something is happening this feels like a good first step I almost would wear this like alone because it feels nice and nourishing is it the most revolutionizing primer I've tried in my life but it feels good okie-doke your skin is primed and now let's dive into the part you're all waiting for the foundation now like I mentioned earlier the packaging is absolutely unreal I think this is one of like the best bottles of foundation I've seen so far are we ready to dip our toes into some of these details mothers instantly iconic foundation builds full coverage foundation I think at this point full coverage foundation is in my blood it is in my veins it is what keeps my heart running so when I read sheer veil that alarms me a bit because that is so not me in the slightest bit I'm alarmed okay let's go it delivers a customizable Couture finish that brings the runway to real life and a few powerful drops beneath the whole bottle it is self setting posts perfecting and long wearing retails for $68 this is the man sister I'm going in with light for no she liquid she's first we're gonna go in with the foundation brush by Pat McGrath as well just gonna stick my brush and let's let's see I start off by stippling it on because except for here because my stippling it on you keep the most coverage out of the product I hate brushes for the things I don't know how people do it like I don't know how people do it just wait later okay stooping in you never feel like that's that bad hmm okay so it's definitely more coverage than a sheer veil I'm definitely noticing that the site that I put the brush in first and then went in with a sponge after see has way more coverage so that might be a technique here I'm pumping again this is my third time pumping so let's use that technique by stippling in the foundation with the brush first and then going in with a sponge with a little bit of extra product or really kick it in because I spoke about this in my assumptions about me video I always try to give the brand feedback on how I perceive a product how I like a product and then tcan do with that whatever twant I am pretty damn sure and that I am NOT the demographic for this foundation because Iowa food coverage I love to have a blank canvas when I start doing my makeup and this is this is for people that don't need a lot this is for people that are super comfortable with their skin this is for the people that you know don't really like a lot of foundation my cheeks and sort of my jaw line get really red when I'm hot and that's why I love foundation so much because it can hide my redness it can hide when I'm hot or flustered or I'm you know I feel like if you have gorgeous skin if you don't need all the coverage this is great for you I even think my skin looks really great right now but I know that as soon as I start living life and get hot my redness will peak through and I will become very conscious about what's happening on my face for concealer and going in with the Marc Jacobs accomplice concealer and number 23 to really get rid of the dark circles under my eyes this is just like a first step for me and then over that I'm dipping into a little bit of the jus vyas place I am magic concealer this is it has that sort of like same skin like Sheen what it's doing is and this is what I don't necessarily like about sheer to medium coverage foundations when you pop your concealer overtop it looks great for a couple of second and then things start to like move a slide around and it's bringing back the retinas to me it almost feels like it has nothing to like grab on to since like the base is so slippiest lady but I do want to add that with the concealer it is coming up my alley
