Stuck in the Storm… We Need to Talk.

hi Lola it's me Mickey it's me Nicky so you might be thinking girl what the hell's going on exactly my thoughts We Need to Talk lately and especially with everything that's been happening in my personal life things have been a little bit and dare I say it inspiration lists lately I've just been feeling so uninspired and I'm in this creative rut and basically I just want to sit down and play with makeup and talk to you guys so on Twitter I asked you guys for questions for a nice little Q&A I never really do q and A's it's just I'm so comfortable in the fact that I can rely on my skills and my makeup and just you know relying on the hand sack when I can't rely on the hands I freaked out a little bit and I think today is one of the first times I should actually just sit down and talk to you guys and do what makes me the happiest which is makeup hopefully by just sitting down and talk to you guys I put something so let's go the looking flowing inspiration from is by snatched by Jake and he has this eye of the storm look right here look at that do you see that liner oh okay so first I'm gonna prime I chose this look today because it kind of represents how I'm feeling down moody gloomy but in all seriousness guys I am need of some spark in my life that's why I went for that stormy look especially after everything that happened in my family is just makeup although it makes me so happy it also feels almost as if I couldn't be happy about it like as if I'm not allowed to but when you lose a loved one simple stuff that cheers you up almost makes you feel guilty because you're like well how can something so simple make me so happy when this just happened and I think it's it's fine you know the simple stuff is there to help you and for me that's makeup alright so the first color I'm gonna go in with is by the new Jacqueline Hill palette in collaboration with morphe and I'm gonna go in with busted the first question is from smilla and she asks if I would ever tour the world and do makeup master classes well I thought about it and I definitely think it's in the in the works I definitely think someday soon it will happen it was actually one of the things I started working on recently we're looking at locations until you know personal stuff happened but if you want me to come out to your city or your country let me know so we can take it into consideration and who knows by the end of this year or early next year I will tour the world and see you and kiss you I smother you I never let you go Lauren asks if I wasn't doing makeup right now what career would I be in I think I have three options the first one is make Halloween you help Evette assisting of that of that but then the assistant cuz like the actual course of coming up that is very long I mean you got two Aussies dancing or I would be in graphic design graphic something graphics of either like a retoucher which is basically where I second up right now with facetune or building websites or just you know helping with like the codes and everything or maybe hairdressers but then I I followed a course once to becoming a hairdresser and I quickly found out that it's not my life okay we're blending I'm using the blue out of the 35b from morphe which 35b oh my gosh you will be loved we'll be missed you will soon also be forgotten by something else that's always there I know it's not me tangerine asks when and how did you learn to speak English how long did it take you to learn and can you say some words in Dutch okay so this question I get on a daily it all started off when I was a young little chicken and I was watching American TV in my Dutch country and I was fascinated I've always loved American TV shows as a kid growing up the only trick I have is to just absorb it take it all in I edit my own video so I hear myself speak it every single time so whenever I hear a word that is different compared to all my favorite youtubers I try to make a copy here and there and rewind talk rewind to talk until you know it perfectly I remember reading one of the Harry Potter books and that really helps me to change like the narrative in my mind so reading English books listening to English shows only recording yourself and listening how do you articulate and like how you say things will really help you out I'm actually working on a Dutch portion for my videos I'm doing huge revamp of my entire channel in a couple of months we're working so hard on it and with that comes a little animation which will be Dutch word of the video and every video I will teach you a Dutch word and then hopefully in a year from now or two years from now when you come to Holland you've seen me we can speak in Dutch and I'm gonna cut the center of the lid we're going for a nice little spot gustavo asks who is your favorite person you've collab with and who do you still really want to collab with honestly drew barrymore has been such a gift she is one of the most sincere genuine people I've ever ever met in my life Chris young shells he's right there oh well we have such a good friendship that I'm so thankful that we come out and then we got our friendship and on my dream list of collaborations is Adele oh I think there's I'll be so good right I think Adele and I would just really hit it off you know who else cardi B cardi B she and me mmm she's mine cardi B and me it has to happen rachel asks what is your favorite part about being on youtube and what is your least favorite part about being on youtube i think my least favorite part about youtube is exactly the mood I'm in today when you're out of ideas when you're out of creativity YouTube can be the hardest place ever and you just get in this really dark rut but at the same time when you do have inspiration and when you are inspired that could be the greatest moment of your entire channel so what can be your brightest bright can be your darkest dark on YouTube and throughout these years throughout these 10 years of doing this getting inspiration after 10 years of makeup looks is hard but you know we always keep on trying rob UT Chrissy asks what are your hopes and dreams and where do you see yourself in the future and a really good question I don't know I always ask myself am i citizen YouTube in 10 years and I'm like well I've been doing it for 10 years I made it this far I'm not quitting now I mean I started when I was 14 so I'm only 24 now I'm doing my thing I'm getting loves and support by all of you guys which means so much and I'm loving life and I'm I don't want to give it up I'm not willing to let go of that anytime soon so in the future I see myself still working with makeup maybe helping others managing others coaching others and having my own little type Club of glow babies really go back in time what would you tell your team self I wouldn't tell my team self to get out of my head to let go of anything that is oh my god that's so pretty oh my god Oh tell
