So Elf Collaborated With/ Jen Atkin And I’m Confused..
um all right so jen atkin collaborated with elf i'm just popping on some eyeshadow primer uh this is urban decay eden and honestly i'm a little bit confused about this collaboration so so we have so three lip products uh let's see lipsticks dual ended lip products lipsticks and then lip liners on the other end uh a brow pomade which i was super interested in i've played with it a little bit uh two pencils zero effort liner in brown and black is that it oh uh two palettes face and eye palettes i think like all-purpose palettes and then where did it go oh the um setting spray mist me setting spray which i love the name first up i really like the packaging it's super like clean and simple you know obviously it's elf so it's affordable i'm a little confused because i i was trying to find like a video where she's like using the products and talking about them and i couldn't find one anywhere i went on elf's instagram i went on jen's youtube i searched youtube and there was just kind of like a short promo basically talking about like the um donations so i don't know whatever if you use the hashtag and like posts and whatever uh post some [ __ ] then tare donating a dollar to girls inc which is an organization that i don't i i need to look into i don't know them um and then it says uh maximum donation fifty thousand dollars only applicable to posts made through may so like the the overall imagery is nice it's like very clean very makeup artist-y in my opinion you know like simple it obviously like it intrigued me i wasn't expecting to receive it and then i did uh the two palettes i would say are like the hero products i don't know why i'm saying that but i'm saying that and i haven't i haven't even touched them i haven't swatched them or anything okay there's an eyelash stuck to this one ew they're kind of similar and that's why i um that's why i was specifically looking for a video on them because i wanted to see i just wanted to see like what her um reasoning for certain colors was or uh like which skin tones she said tlike would would suggest them for because tjust don't seem that different to me you know in terms of shade i mean tare but um like this this one is slightly deeper and this one is lighter but i don't know this one is it seems like it's going to be too dark for me and this is way too dark for me so i don't know i don't know i'm a little just like i'd like your opinion i guess on it like the the colors seem really nice but tseem like um tjust seem really close to each other you know there isn't like a huge range anyway so i don't know maybe we'll kind of like jump back and forth between both palettes yeah we're just gonna jump right into it so i'm obviously gonna start off with the lighter palette so i do love the name it's called the um let's elfing do this palette that's really cute so i'm gonna start off with my um my um face before i go into my eyes i obviously have like the rest of my base on so i'm gonna use the bronzer uh none of them have like shade names or anything like that so this is the bronzer from the light palette which is as you can see significantly darker than my skin tone so i'm hoping that it's not like ridiculously pigmented seems pretty soft yeah it actually seems pretty soft so treadmill and or peloton just started so that's exciting um and i'm going to use my morphe m510 brush which i swear is like as clean as possible i always wipe it off it's just like i mean it's not clean i really need to clean it but we're pretending so this does look a little bit like um red toned for me but you know it's like very terra cotta so i'm gonna load up my brush tap it off and then start blending i mean i can immediately see that it's a little too red toned but um i might be able to make it work the formula actually does seem nice like more sheer than i was expecting i was a little bit worried about how like dark the color is i'm obviously tapping my brush off quite a bit so you know if you think it's going to be too dark for you make sure you're not like loading up your brush and not tapping it off and just like going in with a ton of pigment and it does help to use like a fluffier brush that seems nice though i like that it blends over my uh foundation nicely i didn't real i mean i used a tiny bit of um my lemare powder to set my like the outer perimeter of my face it's blending really nicely over that like the formula looks looks pretty nice but yeah you can definitely like if you're fair-skinned like me and you don't tap off your brush enough you definitely run the risk of applying too much product even though it is quite soft so you just want to keep that in mind like the difference obviously like if you look at this and next to my skin tone it's quite a jump you know it's a nice formula i like the formula a lot it looks very soft in the pan as well like when i swatched it it looked very soft which is nice as well i know a lot of people don't hear that but it's very annoying for me to listen to it's very unnerving i don't know if you guys have ever been in a um oh what are tcalled mri machine is that what it is mri but it's uh it's like that it's like almost like a heartbeat or like a thing is alive and it's very unnerving okay so it's not the worst color but in the world for me um like it definitely could be worse it's very terra cotta i would say for my skin i typically go for something that's a little bit more golden and obviously lighter than this because i am so fair and i have very olive skin so this kind of color ends up just sort of looking very red on my skin tone um especially once i go in with blush i just look like i got a sunburn or something and it's not my favorite for a bronzer but the formula looks really really nice very soft super easy to blend um pretty happy with that so far and i do love an all-purpose palette like that's just something that i don't know if i've ever found one that's like perfect for me but i love an all-purpose palette something that you can use on your eyes um on your face like everywhere eyeshadow whatever highlight you know um okay so now i'm going to go in with the blush just to give you an idea i don't know if it'll be too dark once again it'll depend on like how pigmented it is that looks really pretty just touching it felt like very velvety and soft um but when i wiped it off it does look like it could be a little too pigmented i don't know you guys so i'm using my morphe m405 once again topping off okay okay i was very worried about this palette when i saw the colors because i was like dude these are gonna be too dark for me but i'm actually really loving the colors and also the formula like so soft and blendable and um the blush goes everywhere these days i don't know if you know if you noticed but the blush goes everywhere so pretty love it easy to blend just a beautiful glow it has like the tiniest bit of sparkle that i can see in there but not really it's mostly a matt
