Rare Beauty – Full Face First Impressions

a full face of first impressions but not just any first impressions i am testing out rare beauty for you guys today i am so so so excited about rare beauty if you guys don't know selena gomez just launched her own beauty brand and i believe it launches today in sephora stores i don't know if it's exclusive to just sephora but i know it launches in sephora september 3rd and i think i'm posting this video on september 3rd so these products are already available and i'm really excited to film this video because rear beauty actually sent me this package in the mail the other day no this video is not sponsored tare not expecting me to film this tdidn't ask me to film this i just knew that this is something a lot of you guys want to see like the minute rare beauty was even announced i got so many dms from you guys telling me to review this when it launched so that's what i'm doing for you guys today and i know there are so many brands on the market right now especially recently there are so many new brands that are coming out but i really really love that rare beauty is like an advocate for mental health if you guys didn't know they're like donating i think it's over like a million dollars a year or something like that it's like one percent of sales throughout the year to mental health thave like this rare beauty fund and i really love that they're doing that because i don't think there are many brands not many big brands that are like really pushing the message for mental health and i really like that she does and this brand does so i am very excited to test these products i mean i already did just finished testing these products out this is the look i'm doing it's a very simple look i know but i really wanted to just test the products and just give you my first impressions on everything and so yeah i don't want to keep rambling so let let's do this if you want to see a full face of rare beauty keep watching all right let's get started i am so excited to film this video i am so excited to film this i need to put lip balm on and i'm using the rare beauty dewy lip balm in the shade honor which is clear but my lips are super super chapped right now that smells so familiar i don't know what it is but i like it so i actually got really carried away when i got the rear beauty package in the mail and i pretty much unboxed everything and took it out of the box packaging almost everything i do have a few things that are still in the box i know you guys don't care about it but i still want to show you like the box it comes in i just i got so excited i was just like taking everything out and throwing everything away and i was like oh my god no i want to do a full face video so i saved what i could so this is pretty much a full face of first impressions i have tested out a few of these things not gonna lie because i just got too excited but the majority of the products i have not tested out yet so i am very excited have i mentioned that how excited i am but i'm testing out the majority of these products for the very first time with you guys right now so let's do this so i'm going to test out the rare beauty always an optimist illuminating primer love the name of that it's a weightless universal gel primer enriched with ultra fine pearls for a lit from within glow that sounds amazing i don't know why i started to shake that but let's see hmm oh that feels really nice i get so excited when i'm testing out products from a new brand i love seeing new formulas it's so exciting wow that's that's pearly it leaves your face with a really pretty glow but there is a fine shimmer that's left on your face like if you look up close in a mirror you can see that very very very fine reflective shimmer and i mean it's very fine it's not anything that i think would bother you especially when you put foundation on top of this you definitely won't see that it's not like a really moisturizing hydrating primer it's just to make the skin appear glowy but it does feel nice on the skin i'm going in with foundation now this is the doesn't have a name it's just the foundation i i know it has a name but i threw away the box and tonly have the name on the box but this is what it looks like and i'm going in with the shade 190w and i'm going to be using their liquid touch multitasking sponge it's a plush sponge with a diamond shaped tip for a precise application and customizable coverage this sponge is so weird i am so interested to try this because when i started to run it under water and squeeze out the water this feels exactly like a bath sponge not like a loofah but like like a bath sponge it's so weird it does not feel or look like a beauty blender at all or like a typical makeup sponge so i tried to get as much water out of it as possible and let's see let's see how this works i'm gonna do half my face with the sponge and then half my face with the rare beauty brush actually used this the other day for the first time and i love this brush it's such a good foundation brush i like the shape of it you can get like all up in the corners so i'm gonna do half and half and i already used this foundation but i used it mixed with my nars one so i don't know how this looks on its own i thought for a second that smelled like cupcakes but it doesn't i love this type of packaging by the way you can just like rub it on your face i know people are like oh my gosh foundation like that is not hygienic like you're rubbing it on your face and then putting it back in but it's like i do that with my concealer every day i feel like that's the same thing but i'm just gonna rub that in this foundation is looking a little bit dry on my forehead right now but i think that has a lot to do with the fact that that primer isn't moisturizing i need a hydrating moisturizing primer every day i need that moisture because my skin is just so so dry it needs it but actually now that i buff that in it doesn't look too bad actually it looks pretty good so this is what it looks like with the foundation on one side of my face it's a really really thin foundation but i feel like it has medium coverage there's a slight tackiness on the skin but barely and i feel like it evened out my skin tone really nicely it covered mostly everything up let me zoom you in i don't know how much you can tell but it kind of looks like the foundation is just sitting on my skin a bit on my forehead but the rest of my face looks fine what do you guys think i know it's so hard to tell on this camera but so far so good i think it looks nice anyway i'm gonna go ahead and do the other side it's such a thin foundation this sponge soaks up so much product holy crap and i noticed that when i was rinsing the water out like so much water stayed in this sponge i had to literally squeeze it with a towel so that all the juice can really come out but it's a very very wet sponge so make sure you're really wringing
