Makeup for Sad Days | Mood-Boosting Makeup Tips
this tutorial started out like any of my others I was setting up my camera trying to get myself in the mindset to film because I've been going through a really tough time of it lately but as I tried to compose myself my emotions just took over and I started to really cry so I decided to change my original idea of her tutorial into one for people who are just feeling a little bit sad just like me makeup isn't gonna solve your problems but it can help you feel just a little bit better at least that's how I feel start by washing off any tears tears can dry out the skin and cause sore dry patches so definitely rinse them off my skin has been very dry and sore from crying so I've been using a soothing balm day and night instead of a normal moisturizer I also use an eye cream which soothes the eye area um – my lips get pretty dry too so I apply a lip balm to soothe them I already feel a whole lot better from just applying those skin care products cuz my skin isn't tight and dry anymore and usually I just brush through my brows crawl my eyelashes and at this point not bother with any makeup cuz I'm really bad days who wants to dry but sometimes makeup can perk me up so if I feel like it I'll start with a soothing foundation this is better than any movie cream I've ever tried gives a little coverage that keeps the skin really dewy and sheer looking and it's great for sad tiring days because it's packed with vitamins and minerals to soothe the skin and applying with a damp sponge it's a great way to soothe and relax your skin if I want more coverage I'll just apply a full coverage concealer to any of the areas where I need to and use the sponge to remove any excess eye drops are another great way to soothe and relax the eyes especially if you haven't been sleeping because tcan get quite dry from that adding a glow to the skin can perk me up this highlighter and blush and wan takes two seconds to apply and I just blend it out with my makeup sponge for a natural finish and for the brows I barely fill them in just a touch of shadow in areas that are missing I use the setting powder or a setting spray to hold my makeup in place a setting spray feels amazing on dry tired skin and apply a waterproof mascara this stuff doesn't even cry off trust me I've tried it but you can always skip this step and on the lips I add a tinted lip balm instead of regular lipstick makeup won't fix your sadness and it won't heal your heart and it won't comfort you when you cry but when you look at your reflection in the mirror you'll see yourself staring back instead of your sadness and when I'm really low I wear this bracelet and it says everything happens for a reason even though I wish I knew what that reason was sometimes
