I Really Needed To Wash My Makeup Brushes…
wanted to talk to you about how i clean my makeup brushes because i swear someone asked me about this like forever ago and i was like oh yeah i'll film it this weekend and then i never filmed it sorry but i have a lot of them and i really need to wash them so i thought this was a good opportunity number one i first of all just wash them in the bathroom you know like in the bathroom sink the uh first thing is obviously the soap that i use so i just use like a clean dish soap i usually buy the ones that are like free of any dyes and all that kind of stuff like the stuff that tlike wash ducts with you know because i figured that's got to be good and it just cuts grease like grease cutting soap is probably the best uh so i don't use any kind of fancy you know cosmetic soap i don't have to like go to sephora for it i literally just get it like at ralph's or some grocery store or whatever the game changer was definitely the sigma like brush cleaning mat i've had it forever i think tsent it to me like dude at this point five years ago five or six years ago and i actually just got a new one because tsent me a new one i just replaced it because i was like okay i mean maybe it's time it's been you know such a long time but that's a game changer it's first of all sigma beauty just so everybody knows uh the woman who runs that runs it who owns it with her husband there twere engineers and so tbasically attack every like product that tcome out with their brushes their like accessories their makeup like engineers like there's a problem and they're trying to fix it and everything is freaking amazing this mat is like the best so there are certain areas and it's listed for like eye brushes larger brushes you know to get in like put the soap in this area and then like rinse it out in this area and i know that she developed the way she developed it was she was like trying all these different like textures to see like what would be best for getting like soap and product out of um like large foundation brushes kabuki brushes like small fluffy brushes like what are the best textures so a lot of work went into it and it's just amazing like it just works so perfectly and i can't imagine like washing my brushes without it like it really just gives each brush a deep clean and you don't have to get your hands all wet which is really nice she also talso have like a hand mitt if you like feel the need to touch it because like sometimes i do like i feel like i need to touch it um so thave that too but anyway that is like i can't can't wash my brushes without it so yeah that's basically all you do you just kind of like rub it on the areas and then at the bottom there's like a i think it's like um horizontal stripes i'm obviously not there right now uh where you can like rinse it off you know and then i'll just like squeeze them dry and then the next thing is how i dry them which is just like the best so it's a brand called revolt rivalny i always say it wrong it's literally i'm looking at it but i can't like see the name ravalny i'm gonna be so mad at myself if i'm saying it wrong but anyway it's this like little tower brush tower and it has like these nice steps that you can see and then like a little you know a silicone mat so the brushes are like slightly at an angle while they're drying um and i just kind of like you know stack them all on that thing just line them up on that they're at an angle so that the water doesn't get stuck like the base of the bristles or whatever the base of the i don't know if that is making any sense and the top row is for like small things like sponges or small brushes or whatever or to like hold things other things that like i don't know dirty brushes what whatever there's like a removable tray if you if you need that but yeah it's super nice tactually gave me a coupon code a while back i'll have to see if it's still active but i think i could probably reach out and see if i can get it for you guys but that is amazing because usually i would just like line them up on a paper towel and then they're just like taking up so much room in my bathroom which is like just annoying and plus they're laying flat you know so this i love so much and then i actually think sigma i think it's sigma has a brush drying rack where it kind of looks like i don't even know how to describe it it's circular and i think it like spins or something it's like one of those kind of things and you slip the brushes in it and they're upside down which would also be really good uh so those are two really good options um and i'll link i'll just link both of them below but that's basically it it's nothing i don't use any it's not fancy i don't use any fancy like soap concoctions i've tried people are like oh mix this soap with like olive oil and this thing i've tried that makes my brushes oily i don't know how people do that so hopefully that helped you and if you have any suggestions because i'm sure i'm doing something wrong let me know and i'll change it okay bye
