How to Change Your Eye Shape: Makeup Tips
so my eyelids might look a little bit crazy because they've been through it already but we're gonna continue I'm going to talk about eyeshadow placement before your eye shape similar to how I did contouring your face shape we're gonna talk about where you should put it for your eye so quickly I want to go over my eye shape I clearly have a shitload of real estate to work with from my lashline to the under part of my brow however my lid is slightly hooded you don't think so [ __ ] yourself sick of hearing about this you can see I look straight you don't see all of my lid when I pull this up you see all of my lid I do have a lot of room to work with however I do have this crease right here which can make things kind of difficult my eyes are also maybe like closed tare quite deep set so the distance from like at this part of my nose to my inner corner is kind of deep I mean I guess that's that you can look at them and see for yourself I do have creasing under here and I have quite a deep set under eyes as well pout that I'm gonna be using today to show you everything is the dominique cosmetics a latte to palette I've been loving this palette so it looks like on the inside now I'm basically just going to be using lights and darks to explain where you should be placing shades so when I look straight ahead I might not be so obvious to you but my eyes are quite almond shaped but because of how this crease lays it makes them look very round sometimes so my eye shape itself does go up a little bit at the end but because of this motion right here this crease right here can kind of bring the ID down so what I like to do is apply a darker shade in this area which pushes that back and kind of accentuates the lift to the eye so again just like our faces you're gonna be using darker shades to push an area back in space and lighter shades to bring it forward so I'm going to pick up the darkest Brown which is this one coffee beans and I'm gonna be going in with a lot of product here to show you you know the difference so look at how my eye shape changes when I place a darker shade area all right so I'm going to focus it on the outer part and then I'm gonna blend it kind of up and out going sort of towards my eyebrow so do you see how it kind of creates this shape to my eye now on the other side I'm going to keep it a lot lower so on the outer part I'm going to keep it right here and kind of closer so rather than blowing it out I'm gonna take it like right here a lot closer to the outer to the lid and then as we get up here I'm going to take the middle part of the crease and bring it up a little bit higher so I'm gonna define this area and kind of bring it down I do you see how much that changes the shape of my eyes this area looks much more round it makes it this part of my eye come forward a lot more so this is actually like sort of extending the eye this way rather than cutting it off like this side is now to enhance that I'm gonna go in with frothy this bone colored shade from the palette using whatever brush so to accentuate the fact that this is much darker I'm going to make the lid a lot lighter this is gonna be the messiest application of my life but it's totally fine now I'm going to accentuate this by brightening up this area okay so that is coming forward a lot and then also right here rather than accentuating up here okay see the difference gross now it's a similar thing for the lower lashline if I pick up coffee beans and I focus it just on the outer corner and I don't take it in any further than that and then I connect it up here it kind of like continues to accentuate that shape there's like a sort of cat eye shape that we're creating rather than taking it all along the lower lash line especially bringing it like all the way up here if you're bringing it all the way in the inner like if you're making this area a lot darker while that was way too much product this is the messiest thing I've ever seen it looks so crazy now let's accentuate that by making like this area a lot lighter and then this area a lot later it's looks so crazy so obviously you can see how placement is like incredibly different so if you want your eyes to look much more round this is a great option if you want them to look a little bit more like angular slanted you can also you know you can bring this in a lot more but keeping certain areas lighter and certain areas darker is going to obviously change the shape of your eye quite a bit now if you do have hooded lids if you're looking at this near like what the [ __ ] am I supposed to do because I have hooded lids my eyelids look like Jennifer Lawrence or Blake Lively basically I'm sorry the only thing that you can do is cover whatever shadow you're using cover your lid with that and then if you want to you can basically just play with all of the space that you have between your crease and your eyebrow now I realize that might not be a lot it probably isn't and if it isn't this kind of shape is gonna be a lot better for you you don't have to follow your crease what you can do instead is follow the center of your eye and just take it out slightly I'm gonna pop in some photos of examples Blake Lively what's-her-face I just are named Jennifer Lawrence there's some other ones that is what their makeup artists to do when twant to give them a little bit more glam when twant to play it up so if you have hooded lids you can actually get away with wearing more eyeshadow because that's the only way that it's gonna show up its untruth if you have mono lids go to town you can do whatever you want you are literally a blank canvas you can create whatever shape you want if you are trying to create a cut crease you can see where I put this light shade right here was above where my eye crease is because if I am using like a shimmery shade or something I'm gonna get transferred throughout the day which is why I say I have hooded lids what stopped telling me that I don't they're a little bit hooded I'm alright guys this was kind of quick off the top of my head sort of video to film so if you need something that's gonna be way more in-depth or you need to see like a lot of different kinds of applications please let me know in the comments down below I'd be happy to delve into this even deeper hopefully this was educational for those of you who are maybe new to makeup maybe you're in beginner maybe you just like have a hard time understanding the shape of your eye or what's most flattering yeah that's it I'll see you in the next one this looks so insane
