Guess What We’re Doing Today: Fun Surprise

so excited you guys playing with arik orrick i'm just going to continue my reputation for not being being able to pronounce anything so eric if for whatever reason you don't know who samantha robindoll is she is a makeup artist i don't want to call her an influencer because i know like me she probably hates that term but uh she's an influencer a makeup artist who's been around for a bit now she's fantastic amazing she's a real one if you for whatever reason you don't know her uh you gotta check her out she recently launched her own brand it's called auric and i'm a lucky [ __ ] because she reached out to me and to send me a pr box and i was like what so this is the box stunning stunningly beautiful absolutely obsessed we're going to go through all this oh we're going to go through all of it at the end some of you might not care about my you know extended and in-depth thoughts about the packaging design concept all of that so all that stuff's gonna go at the end all right so this collection uh she launched these glow lust glow lust radiant luminizers uh tare luminizers if you were confused and you looked on um if you saw like press materials or whatever she has a very extensive extensive shade range i'm way too excited and i've had way too much coffee i need to slow down extensive shade range so a lot of people thought twere foundations tare not foundations tare luminizers beautiful shades and then i've already played with these a little bit uh just a little bit uh and then she launched three uh cream and powder eye shadow duos so it's a little pot you got your cream in the bottom which has a little protective thingy because this guy tried to escape which is why those things are so important careful when you open them and then on the top you have a topper eye shadow gorge so we're going to be creating a whole look with this so i have sunscreen and color corrector underneath my eyes and the reason that i waited to do my foundation was because i know she likes to mix it in with her skincare and also her foundation sometimes i was a little nervous about this because my skin is very like i don't know what i'm doing right now uh some things can trigger it to go incredibly oily so mixing a luminizer into my foundation isn't something that i typically do but having played with these a little bit i want to see i want to see what's up i want to see if i'll like it uh because i can tell you right now i already love i love these products so much but i haven't tried it in this way so let's go let's get in here okay so the shades that she sent me morganite which i believe she ref uh she suggested for like neutral to more slightly like pink undertones it definitely does have a slight i don't know how well you guys can see on here but it definitely has like a slightly more pink it does look fairly neutral i think it would flatter me considering i'm so olive but i am very fair so as a highlight i think it would be pretty uh then there is selenite which if you compare is a little more like golden you know it's got a little more gold in there it's going to be probably a little more flattering for all of undertones fair olive undertones so that's what i'm going to be using today but i'm also going to use this guy which is pyrite pyrite pyrite which is very olive st so olive i want this to be a foundation shade beautiful it's a little bit more uh for medium skin and i am going to be using this i'm going to show you how um yeah so selenite is what i'm going to be using i'm just going to give you a little swatch on the back of my hand real quick so this is cell wait selenite look at that would you just look at it let's just look at it so i just have someone i just have so many emotions i have so many things that i want to say um all right so foundation i'm going to be using uh the rare beauty one which is what i always use you guys should know in 170w but i'm gonna mix it with selenite so i'm gonna do probably put a little bit on the back of my hand i guess i usually just kind of like draw it on but i'm gonna put it on the back of my hand about that much don't need a lot and then i'm gonna take i'm nervous about like how much to use but she did form or she did create the uh dispenser so that you have control over how much comes out which is really really nice so i'm gonna do i don't know if that's like a quarter pump or a half pump about that much you know just because i don't want to go too crazy i'm gonna mix this up on the back of my hand and then dot it on my face we'll start off like that all right so now i'm gonna use my ofra sponge i'm actually just gonna pick up whatever's left over on my hand and then start blending that out and hopefully you guys will be able to tell me as well if you see a big difference in um the formula of the rare beauty foundation i'm definitely seeing major glow super glowy like so glowy i definitely think considering my skin type i probably wouldn't use it like this i would probably just stick to using it as a highlighter but i'm pretty into that i'll be honest with you and then i kind of want to just go through everything else like real quick so that we can get to the highlighting and eyes all right so i'm going with my rare beauty concealer and 170w once again just in the areas where i like to you know brighten and conceal and then blending that out with my lc cosmetics velvet sponge i gotta say the more that i'm like looking at it the more i am into it like i feel like i i just worry about this part of my face because i do get pretty oily there but everywhere else even like my forehead it just looks really healthy you know i don't know you guys have to let me know with the exception of like right there i feel like i'm pretty happy with everything so i'm really excited to see like how it wears so just while i'm doing the boring stuff i wanted to say that this was very exciting because um sam reached out to me on instagram to send me this collection which i was so excited about when i heard that she was launching it i just wanted to tell a quick story because when i first moved to la like she was one of obviously one of the first people that i followed on instagram um when i started like doing you know posting my own stuff um and she was actually i think the first influencer i ever met i met her at a nick's store opening her and angela this was back uh in the uh badalash days and um it's just so funny to think about you know i just filmed a video for my alex talks channel about how i was talking about parasocial relationships and you know i was talking about how i've been on like two sides of it because i started off as just kind of like a fan of people like desi perkins and then i ended up like getting into makeup and then moved to la and these people became my colleagues like people that i would see at events all the time and it's just like so strange um okay so to contour i'm just gonna do this really
