Goodbye Ud Naked Palette + Revisiting Old Favorites
guys so for today's video I thought we would honor the urban dating I can't even talk about it so as I'm sure a lot of you know urban decay is discontinuing the original Naked palette and that is absolutely crazy to me I have so many memories attached to this palette it's one of the first eyeshadow palettes it's not the first I shadow palette I ever bought and by me I probably mean my dad my death probably about this for me and I feel like so many of us who have been watching YouTube or who have been a part of the beauty community for a really long time knows how iconic this palette is and at the end of the day it's just a neutral palette and in fact there are tons of other brands who have released palettes that are better than this that perform better that are more pigmented but this is just this is OG this is classic right here this is the beauty community like right here I still have the first one I ever bought and the funny thing is that the K has completely rubbed off on my original palette but I have that one like stored in a box somewhere when I was recently decluttering a bunch of palettes and then this is just another one I already had in my collection before tset me this one I'm pretty sure that they're gonna bring this back thave to it doesn't it just doesn't make sense to me that out of all the naked palettes this is the one that twould discontinue I would think maybe the two or the three I mean it actually are those still around I have no idea I don't think this is gonna be gone forever I just feel like twon't bring it back I think they're getting people all riled up on purpose but sometimes good things have to come to an end and it's time and it's crazy because once I found out it just it got me feeling really nostalgic I was just reminiscing on all the videos I have with this palette and I want you to leave me a comment down below how many of you guys found me through an original Naked palette tutorial and if that's the case you've been here for a very very long time because it's been years but I would love to know my name you guys connect with me through this so the first makeup tutorial I ever saw using this palette was candy Johnson she was extending in her bathroom doing the makeup tutorial and then I saw Marlena from makeup geek and it just it really did ignite a passion in me for makeup this palette it's insane it's just a freaking eyeshadow palette I know I people were like making fun of me but it's more than that there's sentimental value behind that palette for me and I'm someone who really does get emotionally attached to objects it's really freaky weird actually this whole thing kind of inspired me I want to do a video dedicated to everything I'm emotionally attached to let me know if that's something you guys would want to see like there are things I've held on to for years because I can't get rid of them and I thought that would be a really like personal and different and interesting thing to share with you guys I think it would be cool to kind of like mesh that in with a closet tour do you guys want to see a closet door most of my prized possessions are in my closet so I thought I would like combine both them anyway let me know in the comments below this intro is a million years long but so anyway once everybody found out that this palette was getting discontinued I actually got so many tweets and messages from you guys saying wouldn't it be great for you to do a whole video dedicated to your og faves products you were right or die for in the start of your channel and I just thought that was a great idea I know there are tons of youtubers who do that I know Beauty by Emily Fox does this thing where she goes back to her old monthly favorites videos and watches those videos and sees if she still likes those products so I'm kind of doing something like that I actually went back to my very first yearly favorites video it was favorite beauty products of 2014 and these were really my favorite favorite products I used to talk about them all the time on my channel and I went back to my yearly favourites from 2015 as well and I got some products from there we are so gonna take a walk down memory lane right now if you guys have been watching me for years then you are gonna recognize so many of these products and it's gonna bring us back some memories but there's more to this video I'm gonna be applying all these products it's gonna be a whole get ready with me but I'm gonna be using the brand new more feet and Jaclyn hill brush line I tweeted you guys if you wanted a full dedicated video on this there were a lot of yeses way more yeses than nose but there were you knows so I thought I would just think food it in this video I'm not gonna use any other brush that I own I'm just gonna use these Jacqueline Hale brushes to create this entire look and I'm very freakin excited but you guys have no idea I'm so excited for this collection because for years Jacqueline has been somebody I've been watching and I always buy brushes she recommends and it's cool to see like all her favorites in one place and I love this case I've spoken about their black case that looks like this in the past I think it's great for traveling so let's get started for a primer I wanted to use the original primer potion from urban decay because I used to love that so much and it's crazy because now I don't I don't think it's that good I don't really like clear primers anymore because my eyelids have a lot of veins on them and I like to cover that but I am using a primer potion I'm just using it in the shade Eden I've actually never used this specific color before I used to love enigma so much and then tdiscontinued that I will never forget the first time I ever purchased the Urban Decay primer potion the original used to come in that weird bottle it looked like a potion like the bottle was like curvy and my and I was inside of Sephora and the sephora rep was teaching me about the primer potion because i had no idea what a freaking primer was and she put the primer potion the clear one on her hand and then put an eyeshadow on top of it and i was like blown away I was like that just made the eyeshadow look like a magic and I purchased it and it was insane I was with Amelia that day we were both like oh okay so these are all the eye brushes and I definitely agree with Jacqueline that these are all brushes you 100% need but for me I feel like there's one missing and it's the giant fluffy crease brush I love well something like this but even fatter I would say yeah something something like this actually this is very good actually this will work I would even prefer something a little bit bigger than this but I do have larger eyes so that's obviously preference but this will mainly work for everybody I'm gonna go into the shade naked and I forgot to tell you what I'm doing so obviously since we are reminiscing on the past I am gonna do my go-to smokey eye with
