Flawless Full Coverage Foundation Routine | Part 2
welcome back to another step-by-step Monday makeup lesson in each one of these videos we cover a new topic in this tutorial but you can check out the full playlist by clicking up here or checking out the description box and if you're new here make sure to press subscribe and now let's get started with the next step so once you applied your moisturizers and tone and refresh your skin you want to let it really settle on there because if you go straight in with your makeup at this stage your makeup is not gonna last because yes moisturizer does give your foundation something gold onto but if it's to death it'll actually just end up slipping and slide in so give yourself a few minutes now just to let that settle and then we'll move on to the next step so for the next step we're gonna prime the skin so we've done a lot of our prep work already and the moisturizer will definitely help but primer your skin can also give your foundation a little helping hand what I tend to do is I use an illuminating primer the best thing about the primer that I use is it's not only illuminating but it also controls oils so even though I'm gonna have really glowy skin it's not gonna be greasy looking and less is more when it comes to primers especially if you've prepped with your moisturizer enough you shouldn't need too much primer now the primer that we use on the eyes and even the lips usually is a little bit different you can use this primer on your eyes in your lips but it won't be as beneficial as using one that's designed for the eyes and the lips now another primer that I also like to use is something for large pores because not everybody has this same skin all over unless you're pretty lucky maybe you – but I actually have large pores on my nose and on my cheeks so what I do is I use a pore minimizing primer and you only need a very small amount of it and what I do is I do a pressing swiping motion and what this will do is it will fill in any of those pores make sure that we get a nice even base it's also slightly mattifying so sometimes I'm not wearing makeup I'll still apply this because it gives my skin that I'm not wearing makeup but it kind of looks like that where we make up kind of thing then I use whatever is leftover on the rest of my t-zone now as I said not everybody needs a primer but I would recommend it for anybody who has problematic skin so if you have acne very oily skin very dry skin or just for a special occasion you you makeup to last just a little bit longer than I would recommend using a primer and the best way that I find is to use a primer that works with your moisturizer so say for instance if you have combination skin and you're kind of a little bit dry but you're also kind of oily you can use your moisturizer to moisturize the dry areas and the rest of the face and then take something like a mattifying primer and just focus that on the areas that you need to because for combination skin you'll just have certain areas that are different from others so it gives you a little bit more control you can use your moisturizer and then you can use a primer and they'll work really well together and I'll put some of my favorites in the description box so definitely check that out and that's the step complete but make sure to check back next Monday for the next step but as always I'm here to help so if you have any problems with this leave a comment and I'll try and get back to you before you go make sure to give this video a thumbs up and I'll see you in the next one
