Facing My Worst Fears… Makeup Challenge!

guys it's me nikki welcome back as you know i've been on this youtube game for quite some time i feel like an ancient egyptian goddess at this point come on moon night moon eye by the way if you've watched moon eyed on disney plus one of my favorite shows till this date like i loved it so much anyway if you've been following me for a little bit you may notice a couple of patterns when you think of nikkietutorials i don't think the words light makeup pop-up sheer foundation soft natural looking skin it's not my path it has never been my journey but it is a pattern when you look for like the whole shebang when you look for the whole nine yards when it comes to makeup usually you'd end up with me or someone else but i'm i'm right up in that alley but especially lately on tick tock or instagram reels skin has been changing we're looking at glass skin super like dewy natural skin and i have been embracing it more and more and it kind of inspired me you know there is beauty and things you usually run away from accept your ex run away from it there's no beauty in that so it inspired me to sit down in temple tutorials my studios today and face my fears trying to see the beauty in the things i've always tried to run away from i'm talking a more buildable sheer coverage foundation not really setting everything with powder like usually i'm like one big pancake like i slap all that powder on i'm talking cool toned eye makeup looks i'm talking black pencil am i already two small eyes i need white like i need to open it up today i am i'm not really landed on the name yet but today i want to challenge myself to actually do all the steps when it comes to do my makeup that i usually run away from i i'm thinking i'm going to call this the i hate this challenge i highly suggest you trying the same plop your phone down plop whatever you're watching this on down if it's a tv let it stink don't plop that down thanks just plop me down somewhere grab the products that you usually are like i i i'm not feeling this grab those products and let's face our fears let's step out of our comfort zones together let's do it if there's one fear i'm definitely not running away from it is priming i don't care what anyone has to say about this not to prime is a crime i'm using my ninja where it all starts cream and just watch the glow it gives there really should be a more attractive way to put this on but i just slap it on like moisturizer just just take in that glow see oh seed here that glisten my face is ready to face a fear there is one fear that everybody knows exists in my body and that is buildable sheer coverage foundation it's my vibe it's my journey on days where i just live my life but whenever i'm working like do an appearance or do a hosting gig or here on youtube i want the full beat down because i i live for that glam now on a day-to-day life i totally get it and the fact that i'm even saying that took about 10 years to get to that point anyway i got a couple of stunners because when it comes to the league of sheer slash buildable coverage foundations i feel like these are topped here i'm talking about this this is and this is the future skin foundation it's an oil-free gel foundation and guess what everyone on euphoria you know my favorite show wore this because apparently it looks like perfect dewy skin i don't know if you've watched euphoria but everyone's skin is on another so i get it i'm like and i desperately want this on my face now another option is the yummy skin by janessa myricks i've seen a lot of people talk about this as well it's a serum foundation sunshine already another one that's really been making its rounds is this nars one this is the light reflecting foundation now pure old me you know if i had it my way if i didn't have to run away from my fears i would just mix all three together but we're not doing that today i think i really want to go for the shanta kai and i maybe add a drop of the light reflective by nars but i probably shouldn't because you guys will cancel me and now before i even face this fear i'm already facing another because number two on my list it just it hurts my skin physically like talking about this applying your foundation with brush this is not this is not me this is not i just i've said it before in the past i'll say it again i just don't get how people get a flawless finish with a brush i've been read for it people are like you're not a real makeup artist if you can't do it without a bird i'm like excuse you calm down i'm doing pretty good like for me a sponge just does the job okay it makes it flawless it makes it even like there's no patches there's no like streaks it's like all evenly applied with a brush i feel like you need to work for it so much faster and so much harder that i'm like no but today we're doing yes so i'm gonna apply the shantakai uh foundation with a brush and i want to crawl in a hole and never come out of it mind you this foundation also costs 120 which is insane i physically feel my body turning against me just get over yourself you're 28 years old you got this do i have no i i okay dip dip dip dip streaky i don't get wait i know you're supposed to like pat it in okay we're gonna start doing that but i feel like with a sponge you just get way more coverage there we go there's the problem that is the most sheer coverage product i've ever tried in my life ever look at that this is the difference applied nothing it like barely took away the redness in my face which thank you for that i get it if you want like beautiful soft looking skin on a daily basis but that's not the look i'm doing today it looks rough out here i'm really trying i'm really trying i'm really trying how do teven charge 120 dollars for a veil of nothing like how how watch people go you should have applied it with your hands well that wasn't my fear it is pretty for every day i will give you that it is pretty for if you're like living your life don't want to really mess around but not for 120 i cannot get this even i am gonna return this not that i can because i ordered it online i never want to work with that again we're moving on when you follow me on tik tok or instagram reels you know that i'm always trying the latest contour hacks contour techniques concealer hacks concealer techniques because everybody be applying their concealer and contour in like a way and a shape that makes no sense and then in the end it almost always looks the same i you know it's the truth so basically my next fear is to just apply concealer in the most difficult way to make it look the same as always and for this funnily enough you know people do use a sponge people do use full coverage concealer it's like mexican no i'm not complaining so i'm going to take one of the most full coverage favorite concealers i have this is h b cosmetics it's called soft focus airbrush concealer and um must sponge gross people be applying it in like the weirdest w
