Concealing My Dark Circles After Dissolving My Under Eye Filler
for those of you who don't know i had under eye filler for about two years uh i was never really happy with the finished results however i did like the volume that it added to my hollow under eyes uh i recently had it dissolved which was a process i actually just went in for my last i think i had three appointments my last like dissolving appointment so i am i would say this area is still on its way out you can kind of see like the difference between this area like this is pretty sunken that's how my under eye should look uh fun right post filler i have had to change my routine a little bit the reason that i liked the filler was because it created volume underneath my eyes where i don't have it so if i turn to the side you can kind of see if i squint this area under here is quite hollow uh this area of my eye comes out i don't know i don't know if it's like really helping to turn my face but obviously this area of my eye it goes around my eyeball and comes out a little bit and then you know obviously my eyeball is going back in space so underneath my eye i have this kind of sunken situation which i'm not wild about because of that this area of my eye my lower lash line comes out a little bit more it creates even more of a shadow on top of the darkness that i already have so if all of this if from my lower lash line all the way down was just flat it would look less dark than it is despite the fact that i do have just discoloration and pigment underneath my eyes if you see me like move it around you can see that the darkness moves around it's not um i don't know what it's not but it's not but like i have pigment there that is darker anyway so the filler kind of helped to fill in those gaps and it allowed for the light to kind of bounce off the surface area of my skin in that area so there was less of a shadow cast it made it look a little bit lighter it also just made concealer much more effective i felt like i didn't even need to use a color corrector i still did but it was like oh a tiny amount of color corrector and then like like not a ton of concealer and it really did the job now it's a little bit different so i'm gonna be showing you what i do now i literally cannot live without a color corrector i am actually going to be using this is so crazy you guys were suggesting this to me like so much and i actually just found it in my collection this is the peach color corrector from lancome i'm not even going to [ __ ] try to pretend like i speak french it took like eight years of it so this is a little squeeze tube so what i'm gonna do is just squeeze a little bit out onto my paper towel and i'm going to pick it up with a little flat brush because we want to make sure that we're not putting down too much product because that is going to end up looking cakey now i'm already primed i do have my like face makeup on if you find that your concealer is creasing and you're not using an eye cream you don't necessarily have to use an eye cream but try using a primer in that area maybe i should do a little bit of that you know what i'm going to add the tiniest bit of eye cream this is from first aid beauty this is their eye duty eye cream this actually has like a little bit of a peach tint to it um and it also has like a little bit of pearl so it's supposed to be light reflecting so if you do find that your i'm just use like a really tiny amount if you do find that your concealer creases no matter what it could be that your under eyes are very dry if you are priming and you find that your under eyes are creasing it could be that you're applying too much product and you're not letting it sink in long enough this under eye is really nice for people who don't have like super duper sunken under i mean it's good for everybody honestly because it does do a little bit of light reflecting because it does have a pearl but it doesn't look shiny you know so it does a little bit of light reflecting it makes your eyes look a little bit more awake it does have a peach uh tone which is going to be good for people who don't have like a ton of darkness so you don't necessarily have to go in with a color corrector you could just go in with concealer over this and it is nice and hydrating but not too thick all right so my skin just kind of like soaked that up so now i'm going to go in with my color corrector and i'm going to be using this little elf brush it's just kind of like a flexible flat brush i like more flexible flat brushes for this kind of application this is from elf it's the retro paradise flat eyeshadow brush and i'm going to pick up a tiny bit of that color corrector from my um paper towel like that much small amount and then i'm going to start applying this literally only in the area that i have that darkness and i'm going to be avoiding this area because if you look at my eyes you can see i just have natural creasing there i have lines i have creases the skin becomes a little more like loose and crepey okay so if i take that product all the way up no matter what i do it is going to crease i get comments from people all the time who are like it stressed me out that she didn't cover up all of her darkness first of all i don't know why it's stressing you out second why why am i trying to create creasing so this is the area that makes my eyes look sunken and older that's the area that i'm going to conceal i put eyeshadow directly underneath my eyes i don't need to conceal that area okay i'll go make a crazy face a cheaper alternative to this color corrector which i also really like is the one from la girl tdo have like designated uh color correctors but this is the one that i use is like very close to this color it's probably like a little bit lighter and it's called light ivory and it's like straight up light peach so if you're fair skinned uh it's great for color correcting now the reason that you use a color corrector is because this see how much that's already helped this darkness is going to look extremely cool toned when you put on a concealer now typically a person who's doing like a full face of makeup is going to use concealer that's a little bit lighter than their skin tone because they're doing a little bit of highlighting which is what i like to do you can use a concealer that is like exactly your skin tone that'll be fine and then it'll actually like help to counteract this a little bit but the reason you put peach underneath is because once you put that light layer of concealer down and by light i mean like light in color it removes the warmth it ends up looking more cool toned on your skin keep in mind that your skin isn't opaque you know colors are coming through it so when you put one color down this one light color that darkness is going to come through and it's going to end up looking gray if you have like a gray cast when you put your concealer down then you might want to try experimenting with a color corrector so you can see that this just added it added cover
