These Surprised Me: Unexpected Beauty Finds

uh hi welcome back um wanted to talk to you about some products that surprised me whether it's for good or bad for better or worse stuff that i didn't think i would like that i do like and stuff that i thought i would like that i don't like does that make sense so i have makeup skincare other random stuff to talk about uh i'm gonna start off with what's on my lips right now okay so samantha robindoll came out with um the plush ritual uh ceramide lip treatment bomb and uh she did send this to me i am i mean i'm assuming that you guys have seen this uh that's like the little mirror we've got the little jade spatula thingy to apply and then the um lip balm itself i would consider myself a lip balm expert i've tried all of them i'm very picky about them the fact that this was tinted and like it had a tint it came in a jar rather than a tube i usually use tubes i was just i was excited because it looked beautiful but i was also so skeptical and it took me a really long time to try it for that reason i was just like this is going to dry out my lips the pigment's going to separate uh it's going to get all over the place i just like i just was so skeptical i always i also didn't like the idea of having to like um because i'm lazy i don't like the idea of like i didn't i didn't like the idea of having to like open this up take the little spatula out scoop it out you know like it just seems like so many steps to me so i think i have this maybe for like two weeks before i actually tried it this is my second one um i love it so much i really didn't think that i would the color is stunning it's uh it's bare i thought she had two colors um for some reason i don't know why maybe i just like i don't know my eyes were broken or something but i think it's the only one um but it's so stunning it has like the nicest tint i'm wearing like a cool toned lip liner and then just this on my lips i use it all day every day i think the only the only my only like criticism is that like it's very annoying that that happens you know like it gets all over the mirror so i feel like i'm constantly cleaning the mirror but i actually really like using the little jade guy i didn't think i would and my favorite thing is that like it's a it's a thick but creamy formula so it stays on your lips but it doesn't feel sticky at all like not sticky at all the color is stunningly beautiful um just like absolutely stunning if you see any of the pressed materials like it looks beautiful on every skin tone because it's just a tint and it's like she just nailed that nude color um the color doesn't separate which is what i was really worried about i feel like these kinds of products typically the color will separate and like settle into lines that doesn't happen at all it's super moisturizing it lasts forever uh that's my favorite thing about it like i use it at night before i go to sleep and when i like i used to use my aquaphor on my lips at night and i feel like every time i woke up in the middle of the night or like in the morning i was constantly having to reapply if i put like a nice amount of this on before i go to sleep when i wake up in the morning it's still there it's amazing like i love it so much so this really surprised me because like i said i was just like another like a lip balm it's not gonna be good and i love it i love it so much i actually um i bought the little like uh like duo pack that thad for mother's day and i i gave one of them to um yasmine because she when she saw me apply and she was like what is that um but i think i need to buy more cause i'm just like i want to make sure that i always have them so yeah i love it i love it highly recommend super surprised me i guess i'll do all the makeup first uh the next one is the um mac cosmetics stack mascara so tcame out with two there's like the mac cosmetics actual like stack mascara which looks like this spiky spiky wand great smell um i love a spiky wand so i was super excited about that and then talso came out with the micro oh it's not that much smaller whatever uh so this is the micro brush so i believe it's the same formula um two brushes i don't know whatever anyway i just thought like i was excited about it because it was new i like the packaging it looks cool i love you know whatever i feel like i'm getting more adventurous with mascaras this [ __ ] bro stung my eyes so badly like i applied this okay so obviously clearly surprised me in the worst way possible i applied it i think it was just like one day when i was like playing with new makeup and i was like you know what i'm gonna try this and i put it on and it took a little while it took maybe like 30 minutes for me to notice it but um my boyfriend and i were gonna go for a walk i just was like all right i'm ready and then we were going for a walk and as we're walking my eyes just started like stinging and tjust started watering like crazy and when we got back i was just caught i was like what is that like am i having allergies or whatever and i had to go immediately wash my face like wash everything off of my face and like doubt like i wear contact so i have contact solution i just drenched my eyes with contact solution um and it took like a while to recover and i was like what was that like i didn't wear any because usually that would happen with like a chemical sunscreen or something but i wasn't i was wearing my like regular sunscreens and i hadn't tried anything else and it took me a while to kind of be like oh [ __ ] maybe it was the mascara and then it made me a little bit hesitant to try it again but half of me was like yeah but what if it wasn't the mascara you know uh because i kind of liked the finish of it it seemed fine you know for like a non-waterproof mascara it was like pretty spiky and and dramatic i think and uh so i tried it again and the exact same thing happened like destroyed my eyes super red irritated just like crying it was horrible so i don't know if anyone else has had this experience with this mascara but um yeah i really wanted to like it because i thought it was cool and it destroyed my face so that was an unhappy surprise i can't recommend that she's okay next up is a skincare product this is the bump eraser scrub from first aid beauty i don't know if i've talked about this before i can't maybe i have and and you'll just like know where i'm going with this um first aid beauty this is i've i've purchased this a few times bro it surprised me in a good way um tsent it to me the first time and i was kind of skeptical it's an aha with 10 aha uh exfoliant um and it's got little beads in it so it's kind of like a chemical and physical exfoliant for your body and i was very i never use those things anymore i used to use them a lot and then i just kind of stopped because i felt like twere irritating my skin and i had a call with the first aid beauty people and ttold me about this and twere like this is like amazing yo
