Eyeshadow for Deep Set Eyes: Application Tips
um so i wanted to show you an eyeshadow look for deep slash and or i guess cold cold close set eyes because i do have relatively deep set eyes and they're also a little bit closer not like super but uh you know a little bit of a combo so um i wanted to show you how to do your eye shadow if you have this this doesn't mean that you have to do your eyeshadow this way all the time but if you don't like the fact that your eyes are close set um or deep set and you feel like whenever you do your eye shadow save the bags i can't with the bags it ends up making your eyes look even more close set and or deep set uh this this should help so number one is going to be an eye primer obviously i'm using the one by dominique cosmetics which is supposed to be 24 hour crease proof i like it what i like about it the most is that it's very full coverage so if you have darkness around your eye which i feel like a lot of people who have deep set eyes do this should help also has like a um pretty yellowy tone so it's really going to block out like the purpley tones of veins which is nice so i'm gonna be showing you over here on this eye so that you can kind of get you know a sense for the difference okay so what you want to keep in mind pretty much no matter what whether you're using color whether using matte shimmer is that you want this area of your eyes to be nice and light because if you have close and or deep set eyes you'll know that this area tends to get very dark so deep set eyes meaning like this part of your eye is back further or you have like quite a bit of room from like the bridge of your nose to the inner corner which just kind of ends up creating a little bit more of a shadow close set eyes meaning like your eyes are just like very close set so the darker this area is it's going to bring your eye and by your eye i mean like whoever's looking at you inward so that's something to keep in mind wherever you're putting the dark shadows or dark liners or whatever is the way that you're sort of drawing the eye to look uh for my eyeshadows today i'm going to be using makeup by mario i'm going to be using the um mattes palette i can't remember what it's called it's on here i'm not going to look the matte palette and then the shimmery palette okay so i'm going to be using my refer 14 brush which is very dirty but it's fine because it's the same tone that we're going to be using for everything else um and i'm going to pick up a medium brown i think i'm going to start off with uh this one this color so basically what i want to do is open up the eyes so i want this to be very light i want to create a little bit of depth back here which is going to kind of push this area back in space which is and i just like scratched my face and by doing that and keeping this light it's going to bring that forward so it's kind of like doing this you know so i'm going to start off in my crease now if you've seen my videos before you know why i like to start here and i have plenty of videos on that but basically what i'm going to do is keep the shadow up a little bit from my lid okay and i'm only going to blend it just like halfway okay now depending on how much real estate you have to work with here you can blend it you know in a circular motion like this or you can blend it out like this which is what i prefer but you just kind of want to push this area back in space you don't want to bring it down too low either now i'm going to pick up a slightly darker brown i'm going to pick up this color right here i'm just going to use that same brush and i'm going to deepen that up a little bit more but focus it a little bit tighter in the crease so right there so i'm not even bringing it halfway then i'm going to kind of connect that to the upper lash line kind of creating like a little bit of a v shape i'm going in with um the refer number one brush which is wow i thought it was clean it's got green all over it that could have been bad sigma switch comes in such handy and i never remember to use it nice and clean now and i'm just going to blend especially here just to soften everything going back and forth and just building up a little bit now you can make this as dark as you want you could go in with black at this point you know what i mean i'm going to pick up the second to darkest shade using my referral 2 brush and i'm going to stamp that along the lower lash line but only here so i'm not even taking it halfway and then i'm just going to kind of connect it up here so i'm focusing all of the shadows like all of the dark tones in this area right here and i could fill this part of the lid like it's really up to you how much but you just really want to consider like dark out here light out here in here i'm gonna build that up slowly the darker you make it uh the more intense the effect will be so keep that in mind okay so you can probably already see it like a pretty big difference right this eye has like a little bit of a lift to it and this area since we're making it darker it's being pushed back in space which makes this area look even lighter now using my refer 03 brush i'm going to run that on the outer part of my lower lash line keeping it pretty much like right out here the outer third connecting it up keeping the rest of it light and once again the darker you make that the more it'll enhance the effect but you want to make sure that the upper part is the darkest area okay now is the reflective shimmer the light reflective shimmer is going to make a huge difference now i'm going to use this color right here which is super duper light from the mario palette just a really beautiful kind of like nudie vanilla shade light vanilla i'm going to apply that with my sigma e54 medium sweeper and i'm going to start that in the inner part of the lid pressing so i'm going to build it up there and i'm going to just kind of fill in the gaps so anywhere that i don't have eye shadow but i want the focus of the product to be right in here it's where i want the most light reflection and i'm just going to kind of like pat and buff into any of the naked areas and once again what you do with this area is really going to depend on like what your personal preference is but you want to keep in mind this keeping this light is really going to make a difference now something that you also want to keep in mind is you can like really do this up like really really go in so i'm going to take a little bit of that on that same brush just the side of it and i'm going to run it under my lash line but keeping it in the inner part once again so i'm doing the same essentially the same thing on the lower lash line keeping this area your inner corner nice and light really opens up the eyes it's going to make them look a little bit wider apart and it's obviously going to minimize the darkness that can happen in here obviously that made a huge difference but you want to consider your anatomy here so if you have deep set eyes this area can en
