Do Your Makeup Like This When You Want To Wear A Bold Lip

wanted to show you how to wear a bold lip like what makeup you should wear with a bold lip because i think like sometimes it can be really people can be confused about like how to wear it it can sometimes feel like too much so that's what we're doing today uh so the first thing that i like to do especially when i'm wearing a bold lip is make sure that my lips are nice and hydrated before i actually apply i put on my aquaphor healing ointment that's what i like to use on my lips to make them nice and hydrated the only thing is when you apply your lip product you want to make sure that your lips aren't wet so i'm going to pat this into my lips whatever is left over kind of like picking up excess now obviously i have the majority of my base on but i'm going to be showing you like how to do your eyes and how to choose blush shades and things like that so first i want to start off by actually applying the lip which brings me to today's sponsor this is a collaboration with revlon want to do like a plum color and then like kind of a warm brown and this makeup look will go with all of those colors that's the whole point is what you can use like what you can wear how to do your makeup when you're wearing a bold lip so this is super duper creamy you guys already know that i'm a huge fan of revlon lipsticks so saturated with color but lightweight like incredibly lightweight so they're not drying at all but tdo set so ttake a minute to set down and then they're not going anywhere which is amazing all right so let's make sure that this is all good so i'm going in with the shade where is it oh it's on the cap uh oh 10 air kiss i love oh i should i can't talk to you while i do this dude i'll be real with you this is giving revlon i mean um lisa eldridge ribbon lip liner or run for its money i'm just saying like color and everything all right they're ready this is the best part it's so lightweight and creamy all right i gotta clean up my edges a little bit so this retails for 11.99 just saying and what's really nice about this is it gives you that beautiful like matte finish but it has mango seed oil so it's super duper hydrating oh my god is that so beautiful it literally feels like my lips aren't wearing anything i love it oh and the best part is that no lip liner needed like you just have it all in one product anyway it's starting to set a little bit like you'll see it become a little bit more matte but it stays super duper lightweight and it doesn't transfer it's not gonna feather it stays put all right now i want to show you what makeup you can wear with any of these lips so that you can get a sense for like how different lips will look with this makeup look so like i said i already did my base which includes just like foundation concealer a little bit of bronzer and contour but i didn't do my blush so to finish off the face before we move on blush shade is like a very personal thing it can all like pretty much always with no matter like no matter your lip color no matter your eye color if you're choosing something that's going to be like flattering on your skin tone if you have just like a go-to blush shade use that but it can be really nice to at least hint towards the same color as your lip product especially if you're wearing something that is like for instance um there's this color which is liftoff double o six which is kind of this beautiful like fuchsia pink so if i was gonna wear something like this then i would probably want to wear my dominique cosmetics cream blush in soft pink because you can see that they're a little bit more blue toned compared to the lip that i'm wearing right now so they're just a lot closer in tone so it's gonna be a little bit more flattering today i wanted to use something that was going to be just like overall flattering for my face no matter what my lip color is so for me um that means that i'm going to be using uh the rare beauty blush in the shade hope because it's a nice neutral it's kind of like this in between shade it's not too blue toned it's not too warm it's just going to flatter my overall skin tone so i'm going to take a little bit of that and just pop it on the tops of my cheekbones and blend it out with my sponge to give my cheeks a hint of color now if i was going to be wearing like a hot orange lipstick then i would probably want to use my blush by refi i can't remember the name of it but it's like much more peachy it's got a lot more warmth in it because if i'm going in with like a very warm lipstick it's going to look really weird if i go in with like a blue toned blush so just keep that in mind you want to make sure that all of your colors are cohesive all right so when it comes to eyes keeping it simple is going to be the most flattering thing it just is you're trying to look for balance in your makeup if you're someone who's trying to wear super duper smoke and a crease and just like all the colors going on and then you're going with a bold lip and you're feeling like this is too much something's not working here you gotta pick one either you go dramatic with your eyes or you go dramatic with your lip now some people can get away with doing both and sometimes i like this look but especially now i don't know i feel like my tastes have changed a little bit where i feel like i have to choose one or the other so when i'm wearing a bold lip and i want that to really be the statement i want to keep my eyes much more light and not so overwhelming so when i do that i like to do a nice full brow something like really really natural kind of like statement brow statement lip statement lashes that's going gonna be the theme of today okay so before i go on to my eyeshadow um i'm going to do my brows quickly so most of you know that i like to set my brows using soap i use the dr bronner's soap i just missed it with a little bit of a setting spray or water basically create like a paste with that pick it up on a spoolie and then i just brush out my natural brows up and out because i want them to look more full i don't want them to be too big but i love a full brow especially with a bold lip already that just
