The Best Concealers for Dark Circles | Dark Circle Concealer Guide

guys welcome back to my channel my name is Alexandra Nelly if you are new you can call me Alex so I thought today that we would sit down and test out some concealers I don't know if you found me because of my concealing dark circles video but I know a lot of you have and that's a very popular video on my channel I get a lot of questions from people asking what my favorite concealers are I pretty much went over what tare in that video but I have some new ones and then I thought I have all these concealers I might as well like test them out and see what conceals the best that's pretty much going to be the point of this video is just to like check coverage but I am going to let you know what like the consist consistency in the formula is like so you can see if it works for your skin type just give you a little bit of background on my skin type it's pretty normal but it is winter in Los Angeles so it's extra dry right now what I'm looking for is something that's going to be full coverage and slightly hydrating but not too wet so I have a range from slightly more expensive to really even have any high-end but I also included a lot of really affordable and drugstore products some of these concealers I have experience with some of them are new to me so we're just going to be comparing so the first one that I want to start off with is the one that I have been using basically every single day I haven't been um well my brain just died I haven't been deviating from this product just pretty much since I got it this is the benefit buying cake lists concealer you know cake with something perfection whatever the book it's cute it looks like a little pencil a little pencil with like a an eraser super cute I love it I'm always skeptical when I receive a new concealer because your dark circle girl trust me tare worse in person the lighting helps so I am moisturize and primed I moisturize using the good and molecules silicone free priming moisturizer so that's all I have underneath my eyes and that's what I'm going to be using in between applications to apply the product I'm going to be using the top of the LC Cosmetics velvet sponge I believe it's called it does I don't know if you can see yeah see I ripped off the bottom it's a huge sponge it comes with like a bottom like that and that I think is supposed to be for your face and it's just too big but I do get a lot of questions about this if you have deep set eyes this is perfect for getting in there if you feel like I think this is the hood of beauty sponge this is just too big like it just ends up hitting my creases so I am going to I think just prime a little bit more cuz you know typically that's what I would do I want to make sure I'm doing this the way that I always would so I'm gonna go in with the priming rich moisturizer this is by glossier and I'm just gonna Pat a little bit of this around my eyes you do want to make sure that your under eyes are not dry so if you have a problem with creasing or things looking cakey or no matter what it just kind of like builds up or you can't get the coverage that you want or it doesn't last throughout the day make sure that you're hydrating your look at you so benefits boying Kay CLIs creaseless whatever-the-fuck concealer so this is supposed to be self setting on it suppose to be full coverage self setting flexible long lasting a bunch of different things and it's my [ __ ] obsession so number three is the shade that I'm gonna be going in with so I'm gonna be doing one basically one application just so we can see and compare like what the coverage is like so I do like the applicator is super flexible I don't know how well you like it's super flexible it's like a mini basically tart shaped tape kind of like changed the game so tall have that like nice a doe foot applicator now but this one's nice and flexible I really like it so this is where I would apply my concealer so I don't want to put too much and then going in with my little sponge I'm actually gonna wet it a little bit let's try it out I'm just gonna spritz it with a little bit of mmm I have a breakfast in with you over here and I definitely just birthed it with my fix friend Mac fix breath so not overly wet you want your sponge to be damp I'm just going to see usually when I apply concealer I'm going over a color corrector so this is going to be a fun little experiment and I like to go all the way up I know see how this punch just goes like right up in here I love that so much you can kind of pinch it if you need to you really need to like get in this area and you don't want to like get all up in your creasing alright so that is one layer of the benefit Boeing cake list concealer number three I think you guys can probably tell it has a really really nice coverage you can obviously still see a bit of my dark circles which is why I use a color corrector it looks a little bit gray in here but the difference is pretty good right I will say that my skin is feeling a little bit drier today than usual so maybe I'm feeling like I didn't really prime well enough but the formula is super flexible this is one of my favorite concealers to wear I can set it like or I can wear it without setting it at all so it's kind of like a natural it's a very it's a very versatile concealer so I'll use it on like natural days when I don't want to be wearing a lot of makeup I'll just like pad a little bit under my eyes because it gives me good coverage but it can also look really natural and when I do set it with a powder if I'm going for like a full glam I'll use a very small amount of powder which is nice so it really does do a lot of the work for you and what's really great about the formula is that it's nice and thin so it doesn't feel like thick and cakey anyway this has been the star of the show recently I absolutely love this concealer and I wanted to start off with it because I have nothing bad to say about it it looks sufficiently hydrate in between each application how am I already been filming for 10 minutes like what I swear these videos alright next up I want to talk about the Born This Way by Too Faced this is the multi-use sculpting concealer so this is a very large concealer just so you can see the difference like crazy so this is meant to be for like highlighting and contouring the face you can pick up like a darker shade and use it to contour which is why it's so big and it has a similar applicator a larger applicator but it has the DOE foot this is a hydrating full coverage concealer so it says conceal contour highlight retouch what I like about this is that it's like a hydrating version of shark shark what I like about this concealer is that it's like a hydrating version of tart shaped tape so it's most before average and hydrating the shade that I'm using a swan and it's a little bit light I was using this when I really wanted to like brighten it's a little bit more mac fix+ and my
