Lady Gaga’s Makeup Artist Does My Makeup! | Ft. Sarah Tanno

guys it's me Mickey today I am joined by Sarah tan oh I've been waiting for this day for like literally my entire life if you don't know who Sarah is first of all shame on you this is Lady Gaga's makeup artist and not just a little bit she's like hardcore makeup it's just like with her every single day well not every single day if you don't know what Sarah is all about she is a creative genius I mean we've all seen gaga we've seen the looks we tend to follow the trends she makes them today I told Sarah you know what I just want you to come over to my channel look at my face and let your hands do the magic like I don't care if you're gonna transform me into a monster literally I want Sarah to just do whatever I have face tips on my face right now I'm feeling so snatched my favorite like I feel like I am Naomi Campbell today Sarah is gonna be doing my makeup I am so excited I don't know what she's gonna do but I know but good it'll be really a purple I was there fooling the save green crazy me – who's that ready for the Super Bowl oh my – lets go you said graphic yeah that's something I don't see very often something interesting so if you're looking for the face tapes they're right here they're nearly like invisible yeah you just put a little alcohol on them and you kind of pull on your face to find out where you want to put them make sure they're even and then you attach them on the back of the head and what it does is give the eyes a perfect lift it's really nice because it kind of pulses skin when you're doing a graphic bye I used it a lot during like American Horror Story but I had a lot of definition and it's really easy to do your wings when you have that it's almost treats it like a guide Oh Oh these are the crows I just wanna before you start off I was like what if she's uncomfortable in front of the camera but she can't be casera was and the star is born' the most terrifying experience for me being directed by Bradley Cooper like it's like act natural oh I know I was watching the movie and then I was watching it with my boyfriend and then tzoom in and I'm like oh no oh no oh my god it's her it's her and my boyfriend's like I'm like is her actual makeup artist I didn't use a prop I used you I wanna start off we've got the skin off camera mm-hmm but something I like to do is exploit the lips and I have kind of a strange way of doing it I like to put a little bit of lip balm on and then I like to use your lips are so smooth you'd barely even need this I like to use a tongue-scrubber like because it's more gentle than a mascara wand and you can use it with like a lip scrub as well and it helps to like pump it and exploit bullet not that you need that because you're litter absolutely perfect filled you're so blessed with filler I'm gonna start with grapevine it's one of the Highliner gel cramps and I'm just gonna start by getting a shape down these pencils are really great because they're super blendable so often I don't use a lot of eyeshadow I just use these pencils and ttake a fine blending brush but usually what you do you just start with the eyes I mean I do it differently pretty much every time depending because I'm bringing the winged out into your face gonna be quite big I don't want to do the skin and have it go on top or it's not gonna adhere it's nicely mm-hmm in my opinion so I'm gonna also do some blending underneath so I think I'm gonna do this laughs but normally if I'm doing something a little more subtle under the skin first and does that always have them with you you're like oh we'll see where it goes yeah a lot of times I don't like really plan on everything unless it's like for I don't know maybe like an important red carpet let's say Super Bowl oh my god lots of preparation oh yeah oh yeah like so much it's like that was really important that was one of the biggest moments and you know her career and so I owe it to her to do my homework and it wasn't about just me it's like that's something that she needs to look back on ten years from now and I really just love the way she looks yeah it was about all the work she's ever done how long have you been doing makeup I mean I really started playing with makeup when I was like in high school I fell in love with it right away mm-hmm I was like big into horseback riding Olivia I used to compete and all my friends grow up in a barn and it was kind of like all the friends I had when I was 16 and I couldn't compete any marks my first couldn't jump high enough and like it was either get another horse we're gonna car and I figured I needed friends that didn't live in a bar to get a car and have a life like a normal high school student and that's how I found makeup really makeup helped me escape and I was really good at it so from then I used to invite all my friends over and we would hang up a white sheet and I would mess their hair up so you look terrible you can do before-and-after photos ttook it to support that's like and like get a job as soon as I can so I just like started working at a counters and really cool thing house makeup like always felt like the transformative power of it or like just the fun of it in a second escape and a power array just love amen and love can do just to cut back I don't use a primer all the time on the lid or too much concealer anything is because I like this slip of the oil from your skin mmm these products because tdo dry down quite quick there's such an inspiration like ah there's like a breathing walking legend no way yep you know I'm just out here working trying to oh and you are working everyone else I really don't think of myself like that I still have such a struggle in me in such a I just I really treat every day like it's my first day on the job that's why you're here that's why you have the career that you do because you're so driven and passionate and it's meaningful acting it I would never take for granted she works we did the Grammys was it the day before yesterday yeah she did the Grammys the day before yesterday that she flew into here to film this and then God knows what you're doing after this how are you are you like alive Am I I kind of hopped back and forth because I'm just still trying to figure it out sometimes I like to have a plan but wing it what I think is so fascinating is your time limit how do you cope like let's say tgo okay sir you got 20 minutes what do you do you have to really learn how to cheat thanks and things that you have to leave out it's skipping steps sometimes no it's still trying to get the same result cirfairy but look you've ever done I really love what I created for the contest yeah that was something that was really special for me because I never won a student before so it was such a tremendous learning variants mm-hmm I wanted to really bring like the high fashion editorial makeup that I love I'm bring it to television because it's something that like I noticed I never really saw originally th
