$67 Lipstick? Wtf! Hermes Lipsticks Review… The Truth!

guys it's me Nikki hi listen the beauty industry is always growing and more brands join the community every single day and another brand that has dipped it's very luxurious expensive toes into the beauty community is Hermes now if you don't know what Hermes is Hermes is a fashion brand and there I think I pretty much know them just for their outrageous scarfs but most of all their Birkin bags I think the most expensive bags out there I mean if you've never seen one take a random look at cardi B's Instagram Jeffry stars life I don't own a Birkin or anything Hermes I might have a perfume I don't really like it but somehow your girl made it onto their PR list because this right here holds Hermes makeup hermes is know for their iconic orange so that's why I'm sporting the orange on the eyes as an homage by the way so Hermes came out with lip profits I'm gonna slide this out right here tcame out let me see how I okay yes see okay there we go tcame out with lip balms lipsticks and a lip brush that was not included in this pack equipment I've got I'm almost wrapping [ __ ] look at this tcame out with Hermes luxury lipsticks Kapow so for today's video I'm going to step into the world of Hermes makeup and see if the lip balms and the lipsticks are any good see what they're like because these come in at a whopping 67 dollars a piece 67 dollars for a lipstick people there's a whole bunch of stuff you could buy for 67 dollars in these rough times out there which by the way please look out for yourself please stay safe these are rough times and I'm here to hopefully light up the mood for the day a little bit so without any further ado let's see if a $67 Hermes lipstick is anything oh okay time to find out if these are the Birkins of lipsticks all right so there's six lipsticks for me to test out today and I believe there are 24 colors in the entire range and the first thing that really speaks to the attention is the packaging I don't know if this is a typical Hermes thing to do with their packaging but it's colorful it's different I've never seen this before it's chic but yet I'm also like oh my god Clara pull through what takes it to another level though is the top of the lipstick it has an Hermes sort of like it looks like a dented in coin of Hermes it's very luxe it's very like oh she got budget that's where the $67 went to so this is what it looks like and now there's a difference because we have colorful components but we also have these components and we have the colourful ones and the black/white and sort of bronzy gold and I there must be a difference I feel like these are they're matte lipsticks because all of these are let me check oh well this is not mad okay I am lost I don't know what that means so there's matte finishes there's sort of satin finishes more glossy finishes and then of course there's also a lip balm and this is what the lip balm looks like it has that quintessential iconic Hermes orange going on and when I swatch it I see a light hint of orange a which is like super jelly leg and glossy and it has a bit of sparkle in it I won't be really diving into this today because I really want to see what the actual lipsticks are like so I'm gonna be diving into these six shades today and oh my god you're not tripping or mess tutorials oh my god Hermes oh alright so without any further ado let's dive in the first one I want to go in with is this one right here this is Rouge Emma's orange woodsy 33 and this is the iconic Hermes orange so this is to be a nice monochromatic moment and I'm just gonna try it straight from the bullet now one of the vital tricks to making lipsticks look vibrant and true to color is to apply a little bit of concealer or foundation onto your lips so it completely cancels out all the colors of your natural lips coming through so for this Orange I'll be trying it on top of concealer but for some of the other colors I want to see how strong the pigmentation really is because I have super penguins and red lips to see how it sort of you know fights each other so let's find out how this orange is oh all right so okay this is not a mat I thought this was a mat this looks like a regular Finnish lipstick and as soon as I apply it onto the lips it's very creamy first initial thoughts very creamy glides on very easily the color god is a dead match with my eyeshadow so we're to living we're pulling through we're creating looks I'm gonna be honest I didn't think I was gonna be this creamy it slips and slides a little bit so this definitely isn't a transfer proof lipstick it's like a classic lipstick mm-hmm me before lip fillers it's definitely not the most opaque let's think I've ever tried it's pretty it definitely takes a couple of passes with the lipstick to get it nicely even because where you kind of drag the lipstick on it creates these like drag marks and letting your natural lip color underneath kind of like pull through oh I must say we're living for the orange Birkin moment there's not an apparent smell or sent to these usually with a lot of luxury makeup brands tdouse the Rose fragrance on it because they're like roses are expensive you get roses as a scent this this definitely is more of like a traditional makeup type of scent it's nothing that you smell when it's on your lips tfeel comfortable tfeel creamy I don't think this is gonna dry out my lips per say it feels nice and comfy just know that this is like a traditional classic lipstick so this is not gonna stay on all day once you start eating and kind of bump outside of the lines you're gonna tell I'm gonna be able to see now the real question is it worth $67 $67 okay I know I love my jewelry I you know I love my high-end stuff but when it comes down to it $67 for a lipstick everybody I expect it to park my car do my groceries tell me I'm beautiful every single day and upload my videos for me all right so this is color number one what do we think sound off below in the comments out of 1 out of 10 I would give this 7 this is this is a matte finish you can definitely tell this is a very matte finish this is a typical red and it's called Rouge caso cute Kosuke cuz the girl does all right Roush casick you let's see how you pull through creamy again alright so this when you see it in real life it has a very matte finish so we expect it to be a little bit more dry and pull a little bit more to apply but these go on super creamy and tdefinitely don't look matte good pigmentation stunning color everybody not gonna lie when I saw this in the packaging I was like ooh Matt and I was really excited to see a different finish compared to the orange it definitely is an ask creamy as the orange I previously used but I wanted more madness you know this it's very creamy it's very again a traditional classic type of lipstick and I kind of hoped for more variation between the two I kind of wish this was a little bit more drive but this tells you that if you have
